Evidence-Based Practice Made Fun

Our play therapy interventions are formed in evidence based practices. It's effective therapy, made fun!

The therapy techniques we use include TF-CBT, Narrative Therapy, Child-Centered Therapy, and DBT, which are the most well-researched techniques for both children and adults in the field of clinical mental health

Play-based therapy involves applying these approaches through games, art & toys

Please note that the level of interaction for play-based therapy requires in-person attendance and is not available through telehealth

Treatment & Specialities

We treat a range of issues, symptoms and diagnoses through our play based approach, including:

  • Anxiety (including school related anxiety, separation anxiety, selective mutism, panic attacks, and phobias)

  • Depression and mood problems

  • Trauma, PTSD, and stress related to events such as parental conflict, moving, friendship loss, etc

  • Self image and self-esteem difficulties

  • Gender dysphoria and/or problems related to identity

  • Grief due to loss of family, friend, or pet

Safe, Accessible, and Catered to You

We know that every child is different, which is why we don't have an all-size-fits-one approach to play therapy.

All children, individuals, and families are respected in our office, and we strive to be as mindful as possible when working with foster parents, adoptive parents, or other kinds of guardians

Our office also has accommodations for play-based therapy intended for children with disabilities and limited physical capacities (such as options for tabletop alternatives for floor-based activities and photo-based options for those who speak multiple languages or struggle with reading).

Additionally, we can cater play-based therapy to older individuals who would rather participate in play therapy than talk therapy, as play can be healing for all ages.

Please note that a parent, guardian, or approved adult must be in the office at all times during children's therapy sessions, drop-off appointments are not allowed for children under 14

We also have an open door policy for clients under the age of 14, which allows parents/guardians to be in the room during services and/or enter the therapy room at any time while their child is receiving services

Children's Therapy Pricing

Please note: We care about our community, and at the moment, many are struggling financially. Due to the economic crisis we are facing, our fees have been reduced. The price below is states our current fee (before any sliding scale rate has been applied)

In order to protect our clients privacy in the current sociopolitical state, we do not directly submit claims to health insurance

At this time, we only accept private pay, however we wish to keep our services as accessible as possible. If you would like to receive services with us and are concerned about the private pay rate, please reach out to our office to discuss your situation

We would be happy to provide superbills for clients who wish to submit a claim to insurance on their own behalf
