PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
In my time working professionally in the field of clinical mental health, I have had the opportunity to gain experience in every clinical mental health setting, including private practice, outpatient care, inpatient/high acuity care, university & school settings, medical settings, and community mental health. This diverse background has given me both a high level of clinical competency and a calm, warm approach to working with many different presenting problems and client populations.
My general experience working in the areas of mental & physical health goes back many years before I entered into the counseling profession. I have been dedicated to helping both adults and children since 2015 through work with the Children's Hospital Colorado and The Ronald McDonald House, as well as providing end of life services for children with terminal illnesses through a self-started nonprofit organization, assisting in literacy programming with the public library system, coaching and running health clinics with the Special Olympics, teaching biology and health-related classes in the Fort Collins Public School System, and more.
CURRENT FIELD-RELATED INVOLVEMENT
Since graduating from New Mexico State University, I have continued to stay involved in the professional academic field of Clinical Counseling. I am currently involved in authoring research that will soon be published in a peer-reviewed journal related to Clinical Mental Health.
I also regularly perform guest lectures for graduate level classrooms related to my work with LGBTQ+ client populations as well as the treatment of medical trauma/end of life processes.

A Bit More About Me
My family is deeply rooted in New Mexico. I have connections to every part of this state, from Santa Fe all the way down to Hatch & Deming, where my family has been working as chile farmers for many years. My generational background gives me a greater understanding of New Mexico's vibrant diversity, and allows me to better serve my community and the state as a whole.
When I'm not working, I enjoy music, including playing the cello and singing. I also like to appreciate the wonderful nature and mountain ranges that Santa Fe has to offer.
