This program is open to adult students in college or graduate school, as well as high school, middle school, and elementary school students. Parents of children are encouraged to join sessions, and we offer educational parent-only sessions, so that these skills can be used at home.

Our Story & Qualifications

Cedarwood's clinician, Oliver, is highly knowledgable in the treatment of academic issues. As a child, he was diagnosed with several learning disabilities, and struggled academically in all areas.

Through developing academic skills, Oliver ended up excelling in school, and was top of his class when he earned his MA with a 4.0 GPA. He has continually pursued academic achievements post-graduation, and most recently became published in the Journal of Mental Health Counseling.

Due to his lived experiences, Oliver formally studied the neuroscience of learning while in school, and received the CSW certification in the area of teaching educational life skills, and is excited to pass on this knowledge to other students.
